Who we are

Quality support for the few, not a little for the many

A registered 501(c)(3) dedicated to helping local Muslims — widows, single parents, refugees, reverts and families who have come upon hard times, living in dire conditions right here in our own backyard.

“And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity: And whatever good ye send forth for your souls before you, ye shall find it with Allah: for Allah sees Well all that ye do”

Translation of Surah Baqarah: Verse 110

We find the families others miss

These families fall through the cracks — either they cannot reach the large national charities, or those charities miss them among the sheer volume of applications. Often their situation is known to only a handful of people.

We help enough to actually help

If a single mother needs $3K to $4K to run her family, giving her $1K does not solve the problem. Our motto is quality support: fewer families, met properly, rather than a token amount spread thin.

100% Direct Impact

100% of your donation reaches families in need. The Foundation's administrative and operational costs are covered separately by private donors.

What we do

Your Zakat and Sadaqa, kept separate and given locally

Local needy families living in close proximity to us have a special right upon our Zakat and Sadaqa. The Foundation exists to make fulfilling that collective obligation straightforward.

Zakat

Kept entirely separate from Sadaqa, because different fiqh rulings apply to how each may be distributed. Mark your check or transfer clearly so it is routed correctly.

Sadaqa

Voluntary charity, tracked on its own ledger and disbursed under its own rules — supporting families whose need falls outside the criteria for Zakat.

Monthly stipends

Beyond one-time relief, many families we vet receive a recurring monthly stipend, so that rent and utilities stop being a crisis every single month.

The difference it makes

Where your donations have gone

We started with a modest $25,000 in the Ramadan of 2021, which grew six-fold to over $154,000 in the Ramadan of 2026 — and every dollar of it went to a family.

A single mother with six children

Working multiple jobs and still unable to make ends meet, several months behind on a rent she had to take on to house her family. The Foundation collected and paid $12,000, and she now receives a monthly stipend of $1,000.

A revert brother, 61, after a heart attack

Diabetic, unable to walk, and with no source of income. The Foundation collected and paid $8,000, and he is now on a monthly stipend of $500.
